Last week, I talked about how I recently decided to step up my lighting game. I was supposed to do a write-up about the Phottix Odin remote flash system this week after having worked with it. Well, unfortunately, the kit didn’t actually show up until yesterday so I haven’t had a chance to play with it. I actually haven’t even taken it out of the box yet! After thinking about it, I think it might actually be a good thing that I wait another week to do the write-up because I decided to make this weeks blog post a learning opportunity. If you’re a beginning photographer or just learning to improve your knowledge about lighting, this is your lucky day. I’m going to link to a website that is going to give a crash course about the most important variables to flash photography so that next week, when I’m talking about the remote flash triggers, you’ll have a better idea of what I’m talking about. This will be in video form and comes from a guy names Jimmy Beltz who actually taught me a lot of what I know about photography. I’ve been lucky enough to shoot some weddings with him and learn some valuable info from him firsthand. So here is the video from Jimmy’s Phototips.biz website. I’ll be back next week with the write-up on the Phottix Odin remote flash trigger system.
