This week, I’m gonna drop a valuable business jewel on ya. One problem that a lot of photographers face is figuring out exactly what to charge for your services and products. One extremely helpful tool I’ve come across is a Cost of Doing Business Calculator. If you don’t know exactly what it costs you to do business, how can you have a clue where to begin to determine what your pricing should be. It doesn’t matter if your photography business is a side job to bring in some extra money or it’s your primary source of income. If you just take a random stab in the dark at determining your pricing, without calculating what it costs you to do business, you are GUARANTEED to fail. We run our businesses to make money so take your costs seriously and calculate them realistically and accurately. If you fill in all of the fields that apply to you and have a realistic goal of what you want to make for the year, you will know exactly what to charge and your pricing will be healthy for your business situation.
I hope this tip helps you price your services so you can be successful and profitable. If you have any questions, feel free to post them in the comments section. As always, thanks for stopping by and I’ll see you next week.
