A few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to do a newborn shoot for Amy and Shaun Yaklich. If you remember, I posed about shooting their wedding back in November of 2015 so I was more than happy to be able to take pictures of their beautiful baby girl, Zoey. Newborn shoots are so much more than just showing up with a newborn, setting up a few poses and snapping away. There are so many little details that you have to be aware of and ready to adjust on the fly. I have SO much respect for photographers that specialize in newborn photography. Before this shoot, I did some solid research to get a good idea of how to flow from one pose to another and I think the advice certainly helped out. One thing I had to prepare for was the fact that regardless of how many ideas I may have for poses, the little one will decide when the shoot is over! Zoey let us know when she was fed up with all the posing. I can sympathize with her because I get cranky if I’m in from of the camera for too long as well!! I’m very happy with the results from this shoot so without further ado, I give you some of the shots from the shoot with Amy and Shaun’s gorgeous daughter, Zoey. The entire gallery can be viewed here.
